Two friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students is separated from the group, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count and the laughs.

Way better than i thought it would be!

Funny splatstick that plays with the horror concept of "backwater" killers. The interactions between Tucker and Dale make this film, and I would recommend it just for that.

Remember all the movies where the teens go to a lake in the mountain and the crazy hillbillies kill them? This is a spoof from the other side, a really funny and entertaining movie.

Enjoyed this movie for what it is, a comedy spoof of all the slasher hillbilly movies. Tucker and Dale are sweet and can't seem to understand why all these college kids are killing themselves at their "vacation" home.

I won't compare it to Shaun of the Dead, 2 completely different types of movies, one is about zombies the other is a slasher film except this time the college students are the slashers.

This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way. A very predictable DVD!!!

A good send-up of horror films. Laughed so hard the cat refused to sit on my lap.

A hilarious twist on the "campers in the woods stalked by mysterious killers". This time around, the "serial killers" are actually nice redneck types, who through a couple of clever misunderstandings, are mistaken for crazed hillbilly killers right out of Deliverance. And this time, it is the college kid victims who are the antagonists. Very funny and clever, and the two male leads are very likable characters, so you are rooting for them from the start.

Light-weight, silly spoof of hillbilly slasher movies. It gave us a couple of pleasant hours and some laughs.
