Two friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students is separated from the group, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count and the laughs.

Almost as humorous as Simon Peg's Shaun Of The Dead.

Funny splatstick that plays with the horror concept of "backwater" killers. The interactions between Tucker and Dale make this film, and I would recommend it just for that.

What do horror movies look like from the "villain's" perspective. What if he/she/they are not really villains, but a couple of rednecks buying a summer home in the woods that's a bit of a fixer-upper? What if while they are out fixing up their new summer home, they run into a group of college kids going out for a camping trip and people just keep accidentally dying? If you'd like to know what any of that is like, then this is the movie for you.

Remember all the movies where the teens go to a lake in the mountain and the crazy hillbillies kill them? This is a spoof from the other side, a really funny and entertaining movie.

Hilarious turn away from the traditional dark and scary woods movie as our main characters play the creepy rednecks from the point of view of the scared teenagers camping in the woods.

It was fun and quirky. If you like either Tudyk or Labine a must watch. If you like hokey and campy movies it was a fun time.

Two sensitive mountain folk repair their first vacation home. Little did they know that they will be invaded by...college kids. Not as well directed or written as the Evil Dead movies, but Tudyk and Labine are worth the watch.

Coarse Language: A wide range of cuss-words. Middle fingers are used, blasphemous phrases (like muttering "Jesus", "hell","goddamn", and the like) are uttered, and other uses of strong language (like the f-word, b-word, s-word, c-word, d-word, etc.) including crude slang for anatomical parts (e.g., pussy, a-hole, etc.).

Sexual Content: A twenty-something girl is shown topless as she goes skinnydipping, but it's in poor light and at a distance, so you only see a blurry silhouette. (It's more of an implication than a depiction.) Others strip down to their underwear and into swimsuits. There's kissing and discussions of sex. There's also sexual humour and innuendo, but no actual depictions on screen.

Violence: Lots of gory horror violence. Think blood squirting, heads bashed in, saw blades to the face, machetes to throat, staked with sharp objects, bodies shredded up in woodchippers, nails through the head, gunshot wounders, severed limbs, explosions, and shovels to the face and other forms of blunt force trauma.

Other: Pot-smoking and alcohol consumption (possibly underage and definitely while driving) are conveyed throughout the film.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: The horror gore violence may prove too much for some who have a sensitivity to it.

An inversion of cliches, this is the tale of the backwoods hillbillies and the college kids coming out to the woods on vacay, only to find that the redneck ones are, in fact, not murderous psychopaths and the spring-breakers start a body count of their own.
