A very well laid out/thought out/organized approach and lecture series on mindfulness. It took abut 4-5 lectures for me to get accustomed to his lecture style (something about expectations and reality not quite matching at first, then letting go of expectations). Have read several books on mindfulness and Zen Buddhism, and this lecture series was far better organized and more coherent than the books I had previously read. Would highly recommend it for the beginning meditator, or someone considering dipping their toes in the muddy water. While most religious and philosophical traditions have some sort of mindfulness practice, he approaches it from a Zen standpoint, and does a wonderful job putting "bhavana" into context in a way that I think would sit well with someone from any religious background.
