Meticulously researched and cogently written, the author offers a balanced and compassionate view of both these great men and their historical impacts and legacies. I found the book hard to put down, as it provided a tremendous amount of information that was new to me but also relevant in modern times. Top notch historical work. Highly recommended.

Roosevelt was honored at a posh black-tie dinner at Delmonico’s in New York on January 7, 1921, by a select group of the nation’s most successful corporate titans. Attendees included Edward Stettinius of U.S. Steel, Daniel Willard of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Owen Young of General Electric, and Adolph Ochs, publisher of The New York Times.
