A little slow for me at parts, as if the plot is being dragged out, but still interesting. A new way to look at the concept of death and life. Though, I'm not sure how I feel about the main character. One moment I'm like "Yeah! This girl is awesome! She can stand up for herself and actually get help from supporting characters" but other times I feel like "Dude?! Who are you, what are you doing, and why are you being an imbecile?" It's pretty conflicting and complicated... Anyway, still not to bad a book.

I read the first book and was totally attached to it. It's so interesting and the plot is good. The second book is even better. I hope there will be a third book.

This book felt way too Harry Potter for me to really enjoy it. For example: ...

A boy dives into a frozen lake to reatrieve an important item...
Someone is hiding things at places that are important to them. The last of these things-and possibly the most important-is hidden at a place where the person tried to get a job (or had a job). Maybe...a school?...
The main character is having visions from the perspective of a person with whom they share a piece of their soul...All of these scenes can be applied to both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Life Eternal.

*Boy: Harry/Noah
*Object in Lake: sword of Griffindor/box
*Person hiding things: Voldemort/ 9th sister
*Location of objects: Hogwarts/Gottfried
*Object: Horcrux/ secret to immorality
*Main Character: Harry/Renee
*Person they're having visions of: Voldemort/Dante

This book was really good! I read Dead Beautiful, the first book of this series, several months ago, so I had forgotten a lot of what happened in this book, but the author did a great job of refreshing my memory. I feel like Renee and Dante's relationship has changed a lot compared to the first book, but I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just leave it at that. The ending was a cliff hanger, and I really hope there is a sequel! I would definitely recommend this book for those of you who liked the first book, supernatural romance stories, mysteries and secrets. Enjoy!
