Addison is the daughter of a preacher in a small town. She knows one of her friends is being abused by an alcoholic father, and that another classmate has bulimia, yet she doesn’t really care. She’s only concerned about how her friends’ problems affect the talent show she is planning. While Addison tries to be a good person, her selfishness really ruins the book.
