A good first post-apocalyptic graphic novel for the future Walking Dead or Life As We Knew It fan. For me this book skips a lot of the details that make this kind of story fascinating--but it hits all the high points and has a smart, plucky heroine that tweens and younger teens will love rooting for. Beautifully drawn.

I personally thought this book was a little too violent to be intended for kids, I would recommend preteen, ages 9+

Great short read! I really liked this book because of it's realism, if really parents died out and children survived this is, what would really happen. Well, I think so.

this is a great book ....the story takes place in a deserted ghost town after a mysterious disease kills all of the adults but doesnt harm the children... a girl named lisa tries to unite the whole city back together .... but its hard because the rivals from other towns try to steal all of the food she and her city....(army) find
...will her city reunite with the rivals or will everything turn into a disaster ... i recommend this to all ages

This was an accurate depiction of the book. I enjoyed the book more than the comic. I was able to picture myself in the story better when it was just a book. In the comic it is harder to believe. It is an interesting story in itself. It pushes the values of independence and self-reliance.

Follows the original novel quite well-some of the images are a little graphic, but suited to the story.
