I didn't hate this movie, but I didn't love it either. I love the concept, just wish it had a little bit more.

I think this movie really represents what our main resource of worry is– time. More so, it goes into how class, wealth and power influence how much time someone can have. Or in the case of the main character's hometown, how little time a person struggles to have. This movie presents the constant grind society faces against time. As well as the privileges money and power can attain in regards to time. I highly recommend this movie if you're looking for a unique and yet similar understanding of the world around us. It may even challenge you to spend your time more carefully.

Rejected titles: "Out of Time," "Time's Up!", "What Time is Up?" "Time of Your Life." As many have noted, this 2011 sci-fi film has an intriguing premise, but wastes much of its time (pun intended) as a fairly conventional adventure movie in which the 2 leads run around a lot. In the future, the most precious commodity is time. Everyone is on the clock, which is displayed on their forearm, and the rich have unlimited time, while the rest live day to day. But Justin Timberlake is gonna change all that! Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to cast him?
A fire hydrant wearing a suit could've done a better job. Writer/director Andrew Nicol, who also did "Gattaca," has some good ideas, a good cast, and a cool retro-futuristic look. Amanda Seyfried is the rich girl that J.T. kidnaps, Cillian Murphy is the time cop on his trail. Olivia Wilde is his mom, and Vincent Kartheiser is a rich dude. Worth seeing, despite its flaws. They clearly set up a potential sequel, which I would've called "In Time 2: Time Thieves."

Original, and I was surprised by the acting. Far better than I expected. Those not into sci-fi will enjoy the basic premise of an uncaring economic system that lets you die if you lack the funds.

An interesting movie with novel idea. People used their lifespan as currency, they could extent their life if they wanted to or they would die if their life time had been used up. Everybody got a timer in his own wrist so that he could known how long his life would last. A funny movie !

Very interesting sci-fi concept. Too bad the movie was so boring and poorly acted.

Pay attention at the beginning and you will understand the film - those whose complaint is that they did not understand the movie obviously did NOT pay attention early on. Strong commentary on capitalism, greed, and the way the "haves" reduce the "have nots" to an annoying statistic. Good acting - respectable dialogue - fine effects -the slightly open ending is refreshing for those of us who do not need to be spoon fed. It is a film that requires some thought so if you are looking for an action adventure with lots of needless explosions and such, look elsewhere. It is a little gritty. It held my attention all the way through and I appreciated the idea and the effort.

good
