Great book, and who can argue with the brutal truth? And what did become of that missing $19 billion over in Afghanistan anyway? Just can't forget how $40 million flowed to the Taliban six months prior to 9/11/01 - - and that on 9/10/01, it was announced $2.3 trillion of DoD funds were unaccounted for, and the very next morning almost the entire auditing team which had uncovered that were killed when Flight 77 crashed dead center into the Pentagon's west wall, where the auditing team was convened in an emergency conference? Also the day before, on 9/09/01, Ahmad Shah Massoud, the leader of the Northern Alliance, who had been trying to warn the USA of a forthcoming major terrorist strike over the preceding year [and was not only ignored, but not allowed into the country, and instead gave a speech about this to the European Parliament] was murdered by al Qaeda suicide bombers pretending to be news reporters. Had he lived, one wonders what the Great Lion of Afghanistan might have told the world?
