I haven't read the book yet, Just placed it on hold but, is it just me or does this book kinda remind you of lark rising like the girl, the grandma, the boy in dreams that shes suppose to love or fight. Meeting the boy to see if she's suppose to trust him or not (btw this isn't a spoiler I'm just takig it from the discribtion of the book above)

I took an interest in this series after I picked up this book, a while ago. Now, looking back, I can see why I just read it and finished. It was somewhat enjoyable to read but it is completely obvious that it was never any "top YA book" of any time. The mythology and folktale stuff was different, but foreshadowing, as mentioned, is a bit too much for a curious person who just wants to guess at stuff. There seemed to be a lot of unnecessary parts in the book, but I guess Daire is pretty cool. 3/5 stars

I loved Noel's Immortals series, but I think that at this book the plot got a little dragged out. I gave this book two stars because of the wordiness and repetition of the book. I couldn't finish the whole book because the plot was too slow for me and I would have really appreciated it if things went a bit quicker.

This was a great book for anyone who enjoys fantasy and romance novels. The Spanish culture in the book was made it very interesting.

I didn't like this book- at all. I found the words too heavily embroidered, with too much detail. It was over the top to the extent that it almost seemed childish. Which is weird, because this is a teen story. Sorry for the bad review.

Those of you who haven't read the whole book, you missed out!! It was addictive in the end. Sure it was boring in the beginning but once you get to the middle it really started the rush of it's story. I can't wait for the second book!!!

this was a good book. the second book however much like i found immortal series is kinda boring and seems to be a filler. i think she should just stay with stand alone books but this was a good one

This book wasn't all that bad, but I gave up on it nearly halfway though. Like I noticed in Noel's Immortals series, it was made known right away that the novel was to have some sort of magical content, but the plot dragged after that. I felt like I'd read pages of stalling before I decided I was done. Like the Immortals series, everything seemed dragged on, like Noel had to add fluff among her ideas to make it into a full book size. I can't comment on the last half of the book, but I doubt it's worth slaving through the first half.
