Question #1 - Isn't it part of a big-city police commissioner's job responsibility to assign lethally dangerous, high-profile criminal cases to his most trusted officers and not handle them himself?
Question #2 - What sort of a police commissioner would allow his completely unqualified wife (who was clearly a dizzy flake and an utter nuisance) to tag along with him on dangerous cases and actually allow her to repeatedly put herself into harm's way?
Set in San Francisco - TV's "McMillan & Wife" (from the early-1970's) was (IMO) too dumb for words.
