If you have no problem with MSNBC doing the same thing for the Democratic Party then shut up about FOX. Just saying.

In the Fox Effect, Brock and Rabin-Havt describe how Roger Ailes, a former Republican aide, turned Fox News from a news organization into a right-wing propaganda machine. The heart of the book, gives examples of Fox's six step method in the attempt to destroy organizations or people that work for the middle-class and the poor.

Some of steps are to introduce a lie, spread the lie with massive, coordinated coverage, shame the main media for ignoring the story, and then Fox getting praise for the "discovery" before the main media figures out that there is no basis in reality for the lie.

Examples would be Obama attended madrassas, Obama was not born in America, Acorn was helping to steal elections, climate change science is a hoax, and the Affordable Care Act contained "death panels".

The sad fact is that the lies are repeated so often before they are debunked, that massive numbers of people do not realize they've been hoodwinked. Because of this, America is not addressing some the most serious problems.
