GOOD 1959 film with another fine performance by Doris Day. The other primary actors are also good in their roles, but this film's handling of the plot of competition of 'big business' against small time rural U.S. wasn't particularly engaging - although Ernie Kovacs was excellent as the tyrannical railroad owner.
The film elements (cinematography, etc.) were also quite good - but its overall 'flavor' wasn't as engaging to me as so many of Doris Day's other films. Still, worth a watch and I'm glad I saw it.

Disappointing. Never as charming or funny as I had hoped. Good enough as a time waster but not much else.
