The Complete Eighth Season

The series proves how seemingly trivial details of one's day-to-day life, a trip to the grocery store, a remark at a dinner party, a fender-bender, can precipitate a 'Murphy's Law' chain of misfortune to hilarious effect. To keep the narrative spontaneous, Curb is shot without a script; cast members are given scene outlines and often improvise lines as they go.

The classification as to copies on hold is very misleading and doesn't make sense. On one item, in particular, it says 1 Hold, 0 Available, 16 copies. When I go into "VIew Availability Details, it becomes totally incomprehensible because it says In Transit + 1 hold and on many other copies it says On Holdshelf. I would think that literally there are so many copies on hold and waiting for people to pick them up, it would show that there are at least 12 people that have a hold on it. This makes no sense to me. What would make sense, would be to list that there are about 12 holds. When you see 1 hold, it would mean by definition that there is 1 hold, when in actuality, there about a dozen holds.

Still brilliant humour! Really enjoyed this new series. If you like Jewish humour in the Woody Allen vein, you'll love this.
Missed Cheryl being absent from this series (apart from ep. 1) after her divorce from Larry, though it gives him licence to fool around with other women, including a Palestinian.
If you're a fan, make sure you watch the extras which include a long question and answer with the principle cast members on stage with a leading US news reader, who turns out to be quite funny himself in the Jon Stewart/ Colbert Report vein...

Not as funny as previous seasons, there were funny parts, but it gets old fast.

Sooo funny!!! I love this series and Larry David is simply hysterical. The supporting cast is fantastic too....saw a lot of Sopranos alums here....Aida Turturro, Jerry Adler..etc. But I was missing Ted Danson this season! He must be busy with his series. Recommend Highly!

On its 8th season, Larry David keeps showing that he's the Woodie Allen of the 21st Century. A guaranteed laugh!
