Book ten is the conclusion to the Ex Machina series. The story ended in such as way as to leave things open for the reader to interpret. When I read the ending, it reached me at a gut level, which RARELY happens with comics. I think it was a suitable ending for the series. It is clear that Vaughn had a clear plan to make this comic a short but sweet plan. It works, and the series doesn't end up over staying it's welcome. My one complaint about the final book was that the art direction seemed to go awry. The quality seemed to change literally from page to page. Highly recommended that the entire series be read.

Ex Machina is one of the best series ever written. Seemlessly balancing super-heroics with politics in a post 9/11 NYC.
