One child. One swing. An obliging dad. The inevitable plea to go "Higher! Higher!" Add Leslie Patricelli's wildly expressive illustrations, and an everyday pastime reaches new heights of humor and whimsy. How high can it go? Higher than a giraffe? Taller than a mountain? Is Earth the final frontier? The creator of a popular series of board books rises to the occasion with an ingenious picture book of very few words that expresses the giddy glee of being pushed in a swing.

My little one and I like Leslie's other books, both the artwork and storylines. This book was disappointing because it had very limited variety and was basically the same words over and over.
I wouldn't recommend this book. Try some of her other ones.

This book is perfect for using imaginative play with preschoolers.

A simple and wonderful book for little ones. My 2 year old daughter quickly picked up the words for the whole book and it reminds her of going to her Papaw's house where he swings her. It's perfect.

Our 2.5 year old daughter LOVES this book, and whenever she swings she says, "higher, higher!" and imagines she does what the girl does in the book. A nice way to link a real-life action to imagination.
