The Lego Book --- Daniel Lipkowitz --- This book, typically for anything published by Doring Kindersley is chock full of illustrations --- the text comes almost as an afterthought. And in the Lego book, that’s a good thing: mere words would be inadequate to describe the blocks and their progeny. Believe it or not, Lego is well over 50 years old. The Lego brick was first patented in 1958. That means Lego is a whole lot older than its younger fans. Some of its older fans are probably well into their sixties or beyond. For these fans, this will be a trip into the past: they’ll recognize the “old” friends the played with in the 50s and 60s. They’ll remember the Duplos they gave their children. But much has changed since then: themed Legos like Star Wars; Lord of the Rings; Lego Mindstorms (read robots); theme parks; video games and who knows what else. The younger generation hardly remembers the iconic Lego bricks at all. For them, Lego has morphed into a completely other toy. For this generation this book is a kind of history book or catalogue of ages past. How long does it take to read this book? As much or as little time as you’ve got.

Does it include Standing Small? They come together, so...
I just got and it does not include Standing Small, if you buy it it comes with it, but the library keeps them seperate.
