This is like Falling Down rewritten as a comedy. It's just not very funny.

At 1st Frank carries-out his violent revenge on those he thinks wronged him (or otherwise don't deserve to share air with him). But eventually he goes on actual killing spree in the company of 16 y/o Roxy (who has also been isolated from her peers). Movie examines the merits of bigots, religious fanatics, and general assholes (whom we've all encountered) and their impact on American society.

I've only seen one other movie from actor ("Police Academy 1-27") turned director Bobcat Goldthwait, which was "Shakes the Clown," still, as far as I know, the first and only drunken clown black comedy. "God Bless America" is a dark, violent, fitfully effective satire of America mass media culture: reality shows, "American Idol"-like contests, knee jerk patriotism, energy drinks, right-wing blowhards, fanatical Christians, talk radio, inane catchphrases, etc. It has similarities with Stone's "Natural Born Killers" and Mike Judge's despairing "Idiocracy." It only half works and it's in danger of becoming as shrill as its targets, but compared to Stone's film, it's a model of wit and restraint. Goldthwait picks worthy topics and is willing to push it (there is a high body count), but it is hard to satirize a culture that has no shame. It is carried along by strong performances by Joel Murray (Freddie from "Mad Men" and brother of Bill) as a regular guy who snaps and Tara Lynne Barr as the teen who tags along with him. Flawed, but of interest.

AMERICAN BROADCASTING LEADS TO MURDER ! Yeah this was a good one. Plenty of splatter filled fun. I loved watching these two anti-heros going off on a killing spree, killing off all of societies retards & spoiled brats. It was funny, bloody & yes, inspiring indeed. Whoever wrote this flick I fuckin salute ! Thank you !

Funny movie. Both Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr hit the mark. I think it's what a lot of us would like to do to the mindless media crap that permeates television today. LOL!

Funny premise about a "dying" man who decides to kill the annoying people of the world, and the very odd teenage girl who accompanies him. Obviously this is meant to be a satire, but I wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of a young girl as gun totin vigilante. Not for everyone.

This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way. Just another shootem up bangem up move. Very predictable.

The movie could have been better if the script went through a couple of rewrites.

What's the old saying... You become what you hate? Well I'd say that pretty much sums up Frank in this video.

Funny as hell, HANDS DOWN! Hysterically hilarious w/ a lot of truth behind it. LOVED IT!
