This British ITV television miniseries does not mention the importance of the Marconi wireless operators delivering promptly written iceberg warnings to Titanic's senior officers prior to the collision. However, it does show the stern going vertical prior to Titanic disappearing below the calm ocean surface. I would rate this British ITV television miniseries at 3.50 stars.

Everything I could ever want in one epic film. Romance, action, and terrific acting. Ive loved this movie, since my friend and I went to see it in 1997 and Im proud to have a 3 disc copy at home. Kate WInslet and Leonardo Dicaprio have some of the best on screen chemistry in film history. I especailly liked the villains, Cal Hockley marvelously played by a talented Billy Zane, and Spicer Lovejoy, as played by one of my favorite British character actors David Warner, who makes any movie he's in all the more delightful. Yes the ship's sinking was done via the CGI method, but seeing it on the big screen impacts you like no other event on film. Kathy Bates in case I forgot, does a great turn as Molly Brown. You see the different social class structures of the people aboard the Titanic. So if you havent seen it, I suggest you do. It's what going to the movies is all about.

Good series regarding the building of the Titanic and the people who were involved.

Julian Fellows cutting his teeth. The Titanic sinking is ripe for a Downton Abbey type production, but this is not it. Instead, read the Beryl Bainbridge novel of those last days on board -- the class that rattles their jewels in all their awful glory.

An enjoyable miniseries from the same guys who brought you Downton Abbey. The actual ship sinking takes a back seat to the characters and the storylines. Plenty of familiar faces for those who watch British tv series. And all the bad things people may or may not have done (bribing crew of a half empty lifeboat to not go back, men dressing as women to get into lifeboats etc) are presented even though there are doubts about their truth. Fairly enjoyable and well made.

A very interesting way of presenting the well known Titanic story. Four different viewpoints of the disaster and all very believable .

Each episode of this mini-series includes the ship's launch and sinking, focusing on a different group of characters in each episode. Before long the audience begins to put together how each group connects with the others and a full, well developed story evolves.
