An incredibly original and immersive world packed with the history of many alien cultures, ideologies, mores, and societal structure. Truly an epic in that frontier. It seems to me though in adding so much detail to the world in such a short book, Martin ended up with a moron for a protagonist. Definitely worth a read in my opinion though.
