This is a most important book that everyone should read. Even today, a significant number of Americans are ignorant of the dual driving reasons for the Bush invasion of Iraq: keep the dollar as the reserve currency by upholding the international status quo of trading oil in dollars (something Saddam had stopped doing prior to the invasion), and ensuring Iraqi oil flowed to China in support of the multinationals' facilities and factories there. (And the same applies to those gas and oil pipelines running across Afghanistan today, supplying the multinationals' facilities and factories in India.) "Collateral Murder" should have caused a national outrage, yet little of what Bradley Manning has sacrificed his life to publicize has made it onto the CorporateMedia.
