Boring way to tell a story about the chilean coup-de-etat.

The transcriber for the autopsy medical examiner falls in love with the lady across the street. Then he becomes a part of the Pinochet death squad machine as he becomes the government transcriber for all the people they tortured and killed. I’m certain that the objective of the film was to remind the audience of what a killing machine Pinochet brought to Chile. The comedic and macabre dalliances of the protagonist are just a little entertainment for those that got the message about Pinochet. There seems to be a little of Jean Luc Godard’s “Weekend” with the exaggerated endless pile-up of bodies we get to see as the film progresses.

To say this movie is slow paced would be one of the worlds greatest understatements.

Bleak and darkly funny.
