Filmed in a positive light mostly I really enjoyed this inspiring film adventure. After you watch the film there’s links to them on the web for much more. I changed to re-usable, washable produce and bulk bags after watching this as well as trying to shop more from bulk in the first place. I also found a great bamboo toothbrush to replace my plastic one with after realizing that every plastic toothbrush since the 1950s has been thrown away continuously and they will NEVER break down.... crazy!
I love books and films graciously and lovingly done to gently open your mind and share a new perspective. This definitely does that, it’s great for all ages and they’re in Vancouver, Canada!

I first found this couple's blog and that made me think about what I buy and how I dispose of packaging, unused items, etc. I like that their message is not preachy or so lofty that you don't do anything because it seems such a large problem. Inspiring little film.

I remembered this story and it was nice to see the journey from start to finish. I found there was little depth to it, however, and didn't have the same effect as No Impact Man. There was no sense of how hard it was to limit your purchases to food only - it didn't seem like they found their adventure difficult in the slightest. I would have also liked to see a primer as a special feature, or within the film itself, of ways to reduce your waste. Especially since I had my kids watch this, it would have been nice to have that aspect reinforced.
