Pure Tarantino.
Blood, violence, weird characters and great music are the ingredients. The "plot" is two bank robbers fleeing the law and headed to Mexico. So far, so good. Then the vampires.
If you like Tarantino, you will like the movie.
Even for Tarantino, the vampires were too much.

Lots of blood and gore. The usual for a Mr T film. BUT, really stupid. Unless you are into exploding vampires?

- Directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino.
- For fans of "Planet Terror 2007", another supernatural horror crime film by Rodriguez.
- No captions or subtittles.
- Show stopping Salma Hayek's snake dance, introduced by a younger and trimmer Danny Trejo (see Video.)
- Clever title and imaginative touch on the exterior of the bar, shown at the final few seconds of the film.

This is a fairly old film from a time when actors like George Clooney were still young. Perhaps due to its age, you only get a reduced image footprint on the TV screen. For escapism, this films does the job for sure. It is one of the better vampire films from the past.

OK film; looks and feels dated. Writing could have been a lot better.

Horror cheese at best. The film shifts dramatically from the first half to the second half. The first half seemed like a delightful Tarantino-penned tale, but unfortunately it gives way to a stupid vampire flick the moment they pull into the Titty Twister. Morality is debated, but not enough to justify the path it took. There's little elements that are funny here and there (especially Cheech showing up in three different roles), but it kind of ruins the tone by bringing in the chuckles. Only wish more time had been devoted to the initial plotline.

I was suprised at how much i enjoyed this movie. It wasn't anything new persay, but it seemed fresh. And anything Tarantino is involved in usually doesn't let you dowbn.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

I love this movie (I own it!) and I hsave watched it since I was little :P
Tarantino movies are like, the best! From Dusk Till Dawn is one of the best haha! It is pretty cheesy in ways, and I might wanna watch it before your kids do, but it still a great movie altogether!

75 quotes in IMDb, thanks to the contributors. Re,ember that Tarantino wrote the screenplay. Here is one of quotes in IMDb:

Santanico Pandemonium: I'm not gonna drain you completely. You're gonna turn for me. You'll be my slave. You'll live for me. You'll eat bugs because I order it. Why? Because I don't think you're worthy of human blood. You'll feed on the blood of stray dogs. You'll be my foot stool. And at my command, you'll lick the dog shit from my boot heel. Since you'll be my dog, your new name will be "Spot". Welcome to slavery.

Seth: No, thanks. I've already had a wife.
