Young-Chan, an accomplished young poet, comes from the Planet of Snail. Dwellers of this tiny planet are deaf and blind, and call themselves "snails" because they rely on their tactile senses and communicating by touch. Young-Chan lives with his wife, Soon-Ho, who is his soul mate and window to the outside world. They rely on each other completely. Along with Young-Chan's personal writings, Yi Seung-jun captures life on what seems like another planet, where touch communicates everything and love conquers all.

Truly heartwarming story. Should be shown in school to teach 'regular' people that the disabled have worth & can overcome amything.
Lost half a star because it didn't explain some things well (the day he goes out on his own, what was the days objectives? Who was with him? Etc...)

Young Chan has two disabilities but he is able to function in life, strive for learning and success and care for and be cared for by others. The visuals in the film are beautiful and it is more what isn't said that is important. I especially like the scene where Young Chang is hugging a tree.
