A very good description of the C++ programming language by its creator. This 4th edition is based on the C++11 standard which not the most recent version of C++ (C++17) but it covers a significant portion of the language that has not fundamentally changed. The author writes well and the features presented are accompanied by plenty of code examples highlighting the language aspects being discussed. Some knowledge of programming in C++, or a related language, such as C or C#, is essential to get the most out of this book.
