The exciting story of Jack Fletcher, the 15-year-old blond, blue-eyed samurai, continues in this, the sixth book of the series. Jack is being chased by samurai who want to turn him in and collect the reward for his capture. He is tired and hungry when he is approached by three ragged individuals and offered a job. He accepts but regrets his decision when he discovers just what the job entails. However, he has given his word and sets about honouring his contract. This book has many surprises and Jack meets old friends who help him and fight by his side along with new friends. (Book seven is due out in March 2012 and I can hardly wait!) I finished book six in less than a day; another great read. Book seven, 'The Ring of Wind,' is on order by the Library in April. Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.

I'm about half way through this book and I'm really enjoying it. It is more action packed than the last book, and follows a good storyline. You get to meet new characters, as well as some old friends. If you love the series, you will love this book as well.
