Spoiler Alert (The English caption is likely imprecise as the actual Chinese dialogue:)

Master on Pig Demon: The man's name was KL Hog. He was as ugly as a boar...but he was a kind man. He loved his wife dearly, but she cheated on him with a handsome man. They murdered him with a nine-pronged rake. When his love turned to hatred, he became a demon. He swore he would kill all women lusting after handsome men.

Zang: Lady Warrior, I apologize if I have offended you. I'm just a simple, common demon-hunter. I have... my dream. I only live for the Greater Love. Lesser Love isn't for me...but no matter what I say, you'll never understand.
Duan: I'm a demon-hunter too. I can understand.
Zang: That's good.
Duan: But my wish is...to find the man of my dreams. To start a family with him...then live a simple life...and that man is you!
===
Duan: How... long... will you love me?
Zang: 1,000 years...10,000 years...
Duan: 10,000 years...that's too long. Just love me now.

Zang recited from Nursery Rhymes:
My child, my child... why are you so bad?
Bullying, cheating... how can you do that?
Learn to be good... learn to be loving.
Love is in your heart...
filling your life with warmth.
Be good, be good and come home soon.
My arms are always ready to embrace you.
My child, repent with a sincere heart.
You'll always be my dearest child.
Be good, be good and come home soon.
Study hard for a better future.

Master on Water Demon: The Water Demon you encountered today... used to be kind. One day he was saving a child by the river. The villagers had mistaken him for a kidnapper. They killed him and tossed his body into the river... feeding his body to the fish and creatures. He was filled with such hatred and resentment that his spirit transformed into the Water Demon. He returned to seek revenge on the villagers.

Opening scene:
Sheng singing: One turtle, crawl, crawl, crawl. Two fish, swim, swim, swim. Three big lobsters, swim swim, swim.
Dad: Lobsters don't swim... they jump. Three big lobsters, jump, jump, jump. Four little girls......laugh! I'm going in now. Play on the shore and don't get too near the water. If you fall in, the Big Lobster will grab you.
Sheng: If he does, I'll eat him.
Dad: If you eat the Big Lobster, then the demon will eat you.
Sheng: There are no demons here.
Dad: Really? Look. What's that in the water?

Zang the Monk: I am the unshaven Buddhist monk, Chen Xuan Zang. I am a demon-hunter.

Widow: Have you ever lost a husband?
Zang: Madam, I don't have a husband.

Master: Now how do you feel about Greater and Lesser Love?
Zang: About love between a man and a woman? Love between a man and a woman... is all part of the Greater Love. Love is neither greater nor lesser. Having experienced pain, I can truly understand life's suffering. Knowing stubbornness, one can let it go. Knowing what one wants, one can release it.
Master: Now you understand that little 'something'. Do you now know your mission? There is suffering in this world. It's not I who can rescue the world from hardship and deliver mankind from misery. That power lies only in the 22 scripture books in India. Go on your journey to the West for the scriptures…
===
Zang: We were all born pure, like children. …
-You're a demon-hunter too? Based on what?
Zang: The Demon Hunter's Handbook.
-what Handbook?
Zang: 300 Nursery Rhymes? It brings out the goodness within demons. We are all born naturally good. And also I add my own unique style...
hope everyone likes it.

"Journey to the west" Stephen Chow's style. Most of the time it is not funny and the CGI could have been done better.

From the same gang who brought us the ground breaking mystic action comedy Kung Fu Hustle (2004.) This film is one nutty interpretation of how the monk and his three disciples met before embarking on their "Journey To The West" as described in the famous seminal Chinese novel of the same name during the Ming Dynasty. Imaginative story with decent special effects.
