Here's what I love about Loretta Chase: she can write a scene that should be tender and touching -- such as when the hero tells the heroine he loves her for the first time -- and instead have me laughing out loud the whole time. She's so funny, in such a sly, clever way -- I can't say enough good things about how hilarious I find her books to be. This isn't as good as the book that precedes it (Lord of Scoundrels), but still a thoroughly enjoyable Regency.
