Nope, couldn't stick with this period comedy. Tiresome.

Almost as bizarre as something out of Ronald Firbank, this series revels in "preciousness", and as such gets just a touch wearying. However, the stylized performances from these consummate pros keep the whole thing afloat, and sometimes ALMOST delightful. Geraldine McEwan in particular, is a treat to watch, as she always manages to tread the line as an actor between genius and awfulness, with a dash of insanity thrown in. Do see it, but be prepared for a positively savage onslaught of twee.
