Although intended to be the book equivalent of a graphic novel or movie, the author does not do well. Got half-way through and couldn't go further, just couldn't enjoy the book for what it was. The author gets the science pretty much right and mixes in plenty of violence and sex, but it just didn't work for me. It would make an excellent graphic novel should the author partner with quality artists.

Quite an astonishing book that makes no bones about playing up its major influences that are as vary from Stanley Kubrick to Stan Lee, from "Neuromancer" to "Barbarella". Some might object to the over-the-top violence and sexuality, but underlying it all I believe is a compelling commentary on just where the human experience might be taking us in the centuries to come, cloaked in the familiar conventions of comic book fantasy. Worth checking out.
