A brand new, exclusive chapter from the bestselling, award-winning, and critically acclaimed novel Wonder. Over 1 million people have read Wonder and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face. Now readers will have a chance to hear from the book's most controversial character--Julian. From the very first day Auggie and Julian met in the pages of the #1 New York Times bestseller Wonder, it was clear they were never going to be friends, with Julian treating Auggie like he had the plague. And while Wonder told Auggie's story through six different viewpoints, Julian's perspective was never shared. Readers could only guess what he was thinking. Until now. The Julian Chapter will finally reveal the bully's side of the story. Why is Julian so unkind to Auggie? And does he have a chance for redemption?

I loved this book....it really showed me how there are always two sides to a story. I was amazed at the story that Julian's 'grandmere' told him...good book to read!

I loved how R.J Palacio made this sequel. At first I was very annoyed with Julian for all he did, but when I read this, I started to understand better how he was feeling and why he did the things he did. This book was almost as good as the first one, I enjoyed it very much. I can't wait to read Shingling and Pluto!

There really are 2 sides to every story and I enjoyed this revisiting of the Auggie Pullman story from the perspective of his antagonist, Julian. It was interesting to see his perspective and get a sense of why he did what he did. I wish we all could see our bully's perspectives.....it's certainly enlightening! I think at the end of the day, this novella is a good reminder that even the "bad guy" is much more than just that, and may really not be all that bad. With that said, I didn't give the story 5 stars because like "Wonder", this story came together a bit too neatly. Julian is truly blessed to have adults around him to help him see the fault in his actions (although his parents sure have a way to goes in that area!)

But all-in-all, a nice addition and an easy read for a cold afternoon.

A continuation of Wonder, this is the story told from Julian’s point of view. An interesting and well written exploration into the reasons behind his bullying that helps the reader to understand both sides of his and Auggie's conflict. In the end, I feel that Wonder holds up on its own, but this was definitely worth the read.
