Fracking may seem to be the only way for North America to become energy independent, but it is coming at a huge price - especially to the security of our food supply. Evidence people's water and animals are being poisoned and their personal healths are endangered are not anecdotal if it happens over and over again where fracking occurs. Given this part of the world sits right on top of the Utica shale, it definitely has implications for us. It's not just the damage being done that's infuriating as is the flaring of gas (when oil is found) cheating landowners and governments of royalties that rightfully belong to them.

A fantastic must-read book, of the dangers immediately faced by money [and not just in America] posed by the fracking process. A new enterovirus, reminiscent of polio - - an older enterovirus - - has been confirmed in proximity to those areas where fracking is and has occurred. The fracking companies can legally withhold the chemicals used, yet they kill thousands of fish while the companies involved continue to claim that the substances used aren't injurious to humans! Contaminated and dirty water supplies have been a historical source of viruses and bacterial infections.
