'Uni the Unicorn' is about dreaming a dream no one else believes is true. Unfortunately, it's not a story.

Very young girls will be excited to discover unicorns believe in them, which is cute, as are the illustrations, however there is no way this is a book for a child much older than 4, despite being listed listed as appropriate for "Age Range: 4 - 8 years", "Grade Level: Preschool - 3".

This gets two stars for concept and illustrations, but the story itself was incomplete and flat. It felt like there was a third act that was missing entirely, and then the story just ends. Not great.

I really liked the premise of this book and was really excited to read it with my daughter. We both, however, found the ending unsatisfying. I wish there had either been less to the ending or more. It was disappointing.

My daughters adore this book. The illustrations are vibrant and fun and the story is engaging. This is a family favorite!

Uni thinks little girls are real and wants to meet one. At the end of the story, a little girl thinks unicorns are real. I've been a big fan of unicorns for years and wish they were real so I could meet one. This is a humorous story with colorful pictures.

In a splendid role reversal, Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Brigette Barrager have created a lovely picture book about having the courage to believe.

I don't know which is cuter: a girl who believes in unicorns or a unicorn who believes girls.
