Season 2 is the final season. It surpasses season 1 mainly because it spends time on the human element instead of the nanotechnology which caused the blackout and plays a prominent role in the first season. Abundant flashbacks help flesh out these characters. This series is really about family, especially relationships between fathers/sons, and mothers/daughters. Lots of battles and killing, and commentary on what patriotism is, but I liked it despite the editorializing.

Excellent series !

Starting from a seemingly simple premise,.. this series is well written, intensely acted, beautifully produced, and becomes increasingly engaging as it evolves along.

There probably won't be a third season, because of their sneaky and critical defamation of our Guantanamo Family Values.

(Be sure to see Season One first.)
