thebritlass nailed it. It's a general intro to physics, probably as good as any, with occasional sideswipes to opportunistic theologians.
Precious little on the multiverse theory either.

My main problem with this book is the misleading title. "A Brief History of Physics" would be more accurate, and if that is what you want, look no further. Stenger does a stellar job of putting into readable terms humanity's journey to discover principles of physics, with extensions as appropriate into cosmology. If you are looking for information on multiverse concepts, keep searching. Very little in the book deals with this idea. "God" enters the equation sporadically - Stenger argues, fairly, that past and previous attempts to "prove" God scientifically by claiming mysteries or chance occurrences break down under scientific advancements. However, he seems to have no problem arguing that if science explains it, there is no room for the Divine, which seems to me just as dubious a stance.
