Reminds me of the British show Life On Mars which they tried to redo in the US without any luck. This movie is good, and enjoyed the story. You do have to watch for entertainment, and suspend disbelief a bit.

The thriller was much more than the crime mystery but thought provoking thriller, sci-fi and romance when two people's interaction came full circle in time. (See Summary for more details on the plot in 'Summary')

okay timewaster. A few holes in the plot, but overall once you accept the situations it works pretty good.

From wiki:

A murder victim is found near a river by Hélène Batistelli (Mélanie Thierry), a psychiatrist. Richard Kemp (Jean-Hugues Anglade), a French Police Captain, investigates the murder, and discovers it is similar to those in a serial-killer case he worked on in the beginning of his career. Kemp is attacked by an unknown assailant, thrown into the river, returns to land, and finds he is twenty years (1993) in the past, just before the murders begin. Kemp attempts to prevent the murders but becomes the main suspect only to find help from a younger Hélène.
