This is a second instalment in one large story, so be sure to get the books in order. Whereas the first book's plot got bogged down in world building, this one is a lot more crisp and streamlined. Again, the strength is in the dialogue and characters and not the "wa-hoo" of Steampunk often used by other authors to replace the hard work of character development. Best read I've had in a while!
