7 main points:
1) engineering (10x better, breakthrough not incremental improvement)
2) timing - is this the right time?
3) monopoly - big slice in a small market?
4) people - do you have a right team?
5) distribution - not just create, way to deliver the product
6) durability - defensible 10 to 20 years in the future
7) secret - unique opportunity that others don't see

An excellent book for anyone looking at starting a business. I consider it a must read and intend to buy the book so that I can have a highlighted version for future reference. The author provides a series of great examples and detailed analysis without leaving the reader behind. The author also did very well in writing in a way that someone who didn't go to Stanford can understand.
