From my Goodreads review:
Imagine reading an account of someone else's nightmares: uncanny, graphic, strange. That was the impression I got from these short stories. Events that might seem ordinary but there is something off about them. Characters unsure of what they are seeing and feeling.
This wasn't what I was expecting of these stories. I do enjoy dark and unusually stories from time to time, but it really did feel like I was eavesdropping on someone else's troubling dreams as I read this. That being said, there were a few stories I really enjoyed for the content and the prose: "Conference," "The Green Darkness of the Big Trees," and most of all "Wounds." These aren't stories for everyone. But they could be for you.
