A strange singer with God-given talent drifts through the mythic city of Memphis under its canopy of ancient oak trees, shattered windows, and burning spirituality. Surrounded by lovers, legends, hustlers, preachers, and a wolfpack of kids, the unstable performer avoids the recording studio and is driven to spend time in his own form of self-discovery. Shown in fragments, his journey drags him from love and happiness right to the edge of another dimension....[A] film steeped in folklore, music, surrealism, and the abstract search for glory."

The only thing i really liked about this celluloid that critics claim to LOVE so much,is the blues soundtrack. This celluloid is so short it never lets me get to know better any of the characters at all. That totally defeats the purpose of making this celluloid in the first place. This feels more like a sketch of a film instead of a real film. The way this celluloid ends feels like extremely unfinished business that never really got started in the first place. This is like the new GOLD standard of extremely over hyped independent films by film critics period, but i digress.

Abysmal. I've seen better Canadian movies. Not many, but... Don't bother.
