This book is very well organized. It is divided into sections with full page photographs accompanied by a short bio and notes from Beaton's diaries. Unfortunately, Beaton's notes are mostly descriptive, not insightful. The photographs are beautiful, but Beaton was indeed a snob in terms of who he valued as subjects of his photographs.
