What an amazing true story about a horse and her Marines that she loved so much. The story makes you wish you were there to witness this fantastic horse in action and in person. These kinds of books make learning history fun and exciting and something to be proud of. Now I want to see the memorial someday.

This book about the amazing horse St. Reckless is humorous, sobering, informative, and entertaining all in one.

I enjoyed reading this book and learning about this amazing horse. However, as a horse owner I cringed! Can't believe she did not die from the things that they fed her.

This is a wonderful story about bravery, friendship and love between a remarkable horse and the Marines she served with in Korea during the Korean war. Many photos are included in the book. The story moves along very well.
