When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it's up to "young" vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter. Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father's state dinners. She's dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she'll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world--with a vampire. Her Armani-clad escort may be Undead, but he still makes her heart race. And the greatest danger won't be the predatory hordes lying in wait for them; it will be her undying desire for the Sexiest Vampire Alive.

After all the amazing books in this series so far, this one was a bit of a let down for me. The story was not as enticing or interesting. I didn't really the Abigail's character or that she demanded his blood and could not understand his reasons. It just wasn't the best storyline.

Another funny and sexy novel from Ms.Sparks. I have read almost all the books in this series. I have enjoyed all of them, especially Eat Prey Love.

I love the series, I love Gregori, I love the plot developments, and I *want* to like Abigail. Maybe it's because she's been so sheltered, but I feel like she makes some strange leaps in logic. The way Gregori loves and admires her makes me love him more, but she gets on my nerves. I love smart, brave women with a strong sense of family, and Abigail is all of those things. However, I have a hard time sympathizing with her, but perhaps that says more about me than anything else. Also, I made the mistake of listening to the audio book version before reading it, and the "voices" assigned to certain characters shaped them in ways that lessened my enjoyment. Lesson: don't listen to audio books in the middle of a series.

first book i read in the series and thoroughly enjoyed it. now i am itching to get my hands on the other books in the series PLUS i can't wait to read about Dr. Phang's (Phineas) story coming out March next year. the humour is very well balanced and the pacing is just right; some reference to characters from the previous books. it would help to have read the previous books, but not necessarily as i was able to grasp and understand what's going on in the story as the author briefly explained certain important scenes or incidents, but they were vaguely explained, of course.
