Slatyam Stoot from 1972 captures Toots & the Maytals with a maturer reggae sound, though they still have much of that ska peppiness that characterizes their early work, and the debt to early American rock'n'roll is clear (e.g., the opening track is a cover of Louis Louis). "Pressure Drop" stands out on this album.
