I think this book is a great portrayal of the complexity of the father-daughter relationship, as well as a good story on family, creativity, and innovativeness.

This book is about a girl named Cleo Wren. Her dad wanted to be an inventor and she also wanted to be an inventor. There was a contest her dad was making a bird that flies itself and Cleo didn’t know what to make so she went to the jungle and found sticks to make a moon that could fly and inside the moon were a lot of butterflies. On the day of their contest, Cleo and her dad were prepared. When presenting their project, her dad let the bird go and it didn't fly properly it kept hitting people so Cleo let her project begin even though it wasn’t her turn. The bird ate her project up and the bird kept flying and flying and it hit a tree and got stuck. Unfortunately, they didn't end up winning. Although it is always easy to try hard! Rating 4/5

This is a cute story about working as a team, but the main reason to check it out is the gorgeous artwork. Mary GrandPre is very talented.
