In the Criminal Minds mold, but a little less bloody. The formula is pretty much the same for every episode. The "IRT" (International Response Team) of the FBI investigates and usually saves kidnapped Americans in trouble in foreign countries , or solves other crimes liked murder, usually perpetrated by crazed foreigners with some oddly involved backstory. The team is efficient and rarely makes a mistake, but the actors lack personality or pizzazz. Lead, Gary Sinise plays it very straight, and the supporting cast follow in his footsteps. Special features make it clear that the actors appreciate that every episode takes place "in a different country", but this is mainly the work of the show's set dressers, and location managers, who make us believe Hollywood is actually Paris, or South Africa. No international landmarks are actually shown, that I remember.
