The book Lucky In Love by Kasie West is fabulous and will really pull you in. It is about a girl named Maddie, who is all about hard work. One day, she wins the lottery that will change her world. Suddenly, she has so many ways to spend her money and doesn’t need to stress out. She also hangs out a lot with her coworker, Seth, at the local zoo. For those who love romance books, this one is a must-read! One thing I love about this book is how sweet and generous Maddie and Seth are, not just to each other but to others as well. I love how the two of them joke around and their cute and wonderful relationship. One thing that I don’t like is how Maddie doesn’t find help right away when she earns so much money. I believe that if you have so much money, you should get help to save it and not spend it all. But this can help guide others on what they should do when they get a lot of money. This book has its twists with moments where you just want to keep reading. In summary, this is an engaging romance book that questions how to spend money.

Lucky in love, this book's title is perfect because it is exactly how the main character is, lucky and in love. I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5! My favourite parts are how the main character's friends call her bat man because of her car, when they have an amazing party on the yacht, and how she works/ volunteers for a zoo!

Every time I read a Kasie West book I am brought into a perfect world filled with romance and fantasies. Lucky in love is quick, light, and cute. Like in some other of her books the romance between the two characters first starts off as friends and then lovers the way it is developed makes it look very natural and not at all unrealistic. I predicted most of what happened in the novel, but it was a good book. I liked how the main character had her own perspective of things which even changed my view of perspective. I felt like there was a lot more diversity in this book than there was in her other books. This story shows how money changes people and how impulsive they become. I liked this book, but I did not love it, the romance was cute, but I felt like it was a little bit flat. I absolutely loved the main character, she was relatable, she was so logical, she made good choices most of the time, and she was definitely a role model. This is not Kasie West’s best work, but it was good. I give it a three out of five. @Nat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

“Lucky in Love” follows Maddie, a girl who just won the lottery, and her romance with her crush. At first, winning the lottery seems like the best thing that has ever happened to Maddie as she starts to buy and do things she has never even dreamed about. She even believes the money will solve all her problems. However, she quickly starts to realize that money is a dangerous thing. The one person that does not know about the lottery is Maddie’s crush, Seth. Seth seems to be the only person acting the same around Maddie after she won the lottery. His kind, light-hearted attitude makes Maddie like him more and more, but with everything going on, she is unsure if she can trust him. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. However, the plot wasn’t very unique as I’ve read books with similar plots before. In addition, I wouldn’t say this book “touched” me or had a “deeper” meaning. Therefore, I’d recommend it to those looking for a cute, light read. Rating: 3.5/5

Maddie is your normal high school student, has a part time job at a zoo, 4.0 GPA and a crazy family. So when she tests her luck on the night of her 18th birthday with buying a Powerball ticket worth 50 million dollars, her world is turned upside down when she actually wins. Now she finds herself buying fancy cars, clothes and helping out her family by giving them each one million dollars. But with this new found money she finds herself in hard situations, she can't trust anyone and people are cheating her out of money. But she can be her old self with Seth since he doesn't know about her winning the lottery.
Kinda a unique plot which made it enjoyable to read, like the rest of Kasie West's novels. They are all quick and cute reads that always have a happy ending no matter the situations the characters are put through. This novel shows a great lesson, that money isn't everything and can't solve all the world's problems. Rating 3 out of 5 stars.

I really love how every Kasie West romance has a unique and exhilarating story, making her one of my definite go-to's for romance! I liked how the main character, Maddie, progress throughout the book. I definitely do think that the author can be a little more clear in certain areas, but overall a very good read. I'm very excited for the next one!
