Looks like wikiquote has limited quoted from S2. Hope the authors will add more soon. Meanwhile:
78 billion people. Give or take, since time began. More arriving every day. Each of them with their own distinct hopes and fears. The numbers really pile up. You can imagine. Of course God wants to hear them all, but at a certain point, Heaven thought it best to create a backup system. Make sure nothing important fell through the cracks.

I imagine you could take 100,000 little old ladies, walk them back and forth across the street for 100 years, and it still wouldn't get you off the hook for all that.

This season began with a blast as the empowered preacher Jesse, his Irish sidekick vampire Cassidy and mysterious woman Tulip were on the road to New Orleans, looking for the wayward God. In their quest, viewers learned about the history of those out-of-this-world personalities from S1 and introduced to new bizarre characters from both the natural and spiritual world. Outstanding as S1.
