I bought this cheap at Good Will thrift store my copy has some water damage but it's still serviceable. If you check it out you will have to use a note book to do the exercises of course; I'm just writing in mine and I find the author did not give me enough room to write the whole answers. It's a good overview of written Spanish and for me a refresher course. Beginners probably won't find it all that easy though. It certainly doesn't give you enough practice to master Spanish Grammar. When it comes to language studies there's no such thing as "Quick and Easy".
If you want to master Spanish writing and grammar you will have to dedicate yourself to at lest a year of intense study and this book is a good start; but you will have to do a lot more additional study and writing practice after you finish it.
If you're planning to travel to Spain this book is a good start; Latin American Spanish has some differences so if you plan to go south of the border other books will be more helpful.
