Primatologist Davis shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. When a greed-fueled corporation's genetic experiment goes awry, George and other animals across the country are mutated into aggressive super creatures that rampage the city. I think this movie is based on a video game called Rampage that is from the mid-1980's. I remember my brother would play Rampage on the living room TV. In the movie, a gorilla, a wolf, and a lizard get contaminated with a genetically altering chemical from outer space. This premise is similar to the movies of Godzilla. *****I like the beginning and the end of the movie because it showed how "The Rock" and the gorilla (George) where friends. Everything in between is just filler. I have no idea why "The Rock" made this movie. Perhaps the main demographic for this movie is for WWE fans who appreciate and enjoy this movie genre. Also, can the chemical from outer space genetically alter human beings as well?

Don't think too hard on this one. It is a fun action movie and all of those failed attempts to reboot Godzilla really ought to take a look at this one.

The Rock was great in it. Jeffrey Dean Morgan - who usually overacts - was doing a great job channeling Tommy Lee Jones and Sam Elliott. I loved the interaction between The Rock and the gorilla.

Not a movie to take seriously but I thought it was cute and entertaining. Genetically enhanced creatures looked faked and were just ridiculously looking.😀😀😀😀😀 other than it was action filled and the big guerilla had a sense of humour.

I guess I'm not really the right demographic for this movie. I just found it so loud and dumb. It definitely has lots of action and is clearly just intended as a fun popcorn movie. I didn't find it fun, however. It was just so silly and nonsensical. I also hate it when animals are presented as "evil". I like Dwayne Johnson, he is a charismatic and likeable leading man, but this movie was just too trashy for me.

A summer movie through and through. The Rock and Jeffery Dean Morgan are good in it!

I liked this, although I'm sort of embarrassed to admit that. Throughout the movie I kept thinking "this is the perfect movie for men who miss their childhood of destroying their little sister's sandcastles, blowing up their army men with water balloons, and building Lego forts so they could smash them."

Entertaining, if silly, CGI action-fest. The Rock plays pretty much the same character as he usually does, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan does a "Tommy Lee Jones in G-Man mode" impersonation. Fun, but if you think too hard about any of it... well, probably don't do that. Just enjoy the ride.

A run-of-the mill movie with a simplistic plot and dialogue in which the white CG gorilla has a more subtle range of facial expressions than Dwayne Johnson. When you watch him in the scenes with FBI agent/cowboy Jeffrey Dean Morgan, ol' Dwayne's thespian talents are exposed as severely limited by the comparison. I am not sure who it was aimed at either--some of the language is inappropriate for younger viewers. Not worth the bother, really.

I wish I could go back in time and turn off the movie like I should have. This movie was horrible. Should have been Rated R for language, profanity and violence. These people have potty mouths. Clean up your act, Dwayne.

Not recommended.

A fun movie action packed and good if you want something in that genre. Similar in tone to Fast and Furious Films with a science fiction element to it.
